The iconic “towers in the park” are scattered housing developments throughout New York City neighborhoods. In many sections of the city, they are placed strategically adjacent to middle-income housing or transit and employment hubs. It is easy to pass them by and only think of them through the lens of your local news station or paper. As with any large housing development, if you are not a resident, you know only what you see from the outside. Here, we invite you to learn about the various public housing communities from the residents own voices; allowing them to change and shape the narrative that define who they are and how they engage as a community.
